Father's Day is Sunday, June 20th! Hopefully, that isn't news to you, but if it is, never fear! I have put together a list of great activities happening around Tucson and gift ideas for the big man in your life. Whether he's into going out for food, or staying in and reading in the recliner, there's something for every Dad in your life.

Start off Father's Day right by rounding up the family and getting a nice cup of coffee and breakfast at Cup Cafe, located inside of Hotel Congress. Get there early from 7 to 8 am to enjoy the early bird special of $1 drip coffee, $2 coffee cake, and $3 off a breakfast dish. Yum! They are also offering a delicious lunch and dinner menu specially made for Dad. Check out the Cup Cafe website for more menu options and hours.

Stick around Hotel Congress on Sunday evening with Dad and enjoy the sounds of modern R&B and Soul music in the Club Congress Plaza. This casual musical night is being put on by the Southern Arizona Blues And Heritage Foundation. Get your tickets for $8 ahead of time and coast into the summer evening to the smooth sounds of soul music.

After you grab a cup of coffee in the morning, why not take Dad to the Father's Day Car Show. Head down to 1755 S. Houghton Road at the Pantano Church to enjoy a morning of customized rides, restored vehicles, and other interesting and cool cars! It's free to enjoy, so why not stop by and take a look. This is open from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm and breakfast is provided!

Maybe Dad is the kind of guy who just wants to sit down to a good meal. There are plenty of restaurants around town with great Father's Day specials. PF Changs, on River Road and Campbell, is offering a special Father's Day menu starting at 11 am until close. It's $50 for an exclusive dine-in meal, so make your reservation now to get the goods!

If your Dad is looking for a more traditional meal, head to The Grill at Hacienda Del Sol for their Father's Day dinner specials. They're offering a half rack of ribs with delicious sides for $30 a person. For lighter fare, the Terraza Garden Patio dining will be open from 9 am to 2 pm for brunch. Take in gorgeous views of the Catalina Mountains while you eat a delicious meal with your family.

Now for gift ideas.

Gift Ideas for DadDad Jokes Book | Tiny Town Gallery | Bookman's Books

Maybe heading out into the blistering heat of Tucson isn't quite what you had in mind to let Dad know how much you love him. Maybe a gift is more his style. Here are a few ideas!

Give him the gift of more Dad Jokes, with a book of Dad Jokes. Those never get old. If he's a proud Tucson resident, pick him up a cool local t-shirt from the Tiny Town Gallery on 4th Ave. They have a wide variety of unique shirts that range from irreverent to humourous to retro.

Hit up Bookman's to find some fun video games from Dad's past that will bring back the memories. . Booksmans has a huge catalog of gently loved books on almost every subject you can think of. If Dad's really into submarines right now, they've got books on it. Fantasy novels? A whole row of them. You can't go wrong with a stop at Bookman's.

Most of all, just let your Dad know how much he means to you. Write it on a funny card, or even just write a nice note. Little gestures go a long way. Find something to make his day easier or brighter. Either way, it's good to remind the father figures in our lives how much we appreciate them!
