The Hollywood sign is one of the most popular activities to do both by locals and visitors. It's not so hard to find but there are a lot of things that have changed in 2021. First, drive to the end of Canyon Drive
This is the first most important step to getting to the Hollywood sign. Bring out your phone and use the GPS to get to Canyon Drive, or more accurately, Bronson Canyon Parking and you'll get very easy directions to the place.
Second, get parking
Now that you've done a great job of getting to the Bronson Canyon park, you'll want to well, park. Note that parking can be hard to get especially on weekends and they can fill up very quickly. Your best bet will be to get there very early on the weekends, at least before 7am so you can get a spot. Alternatively, you can go there on a weekday and parking should be a lot easier.
Now, let's get to the sign
The great thing about this hike is that there are directional signs anywhere so it's kind of difficult to get it wrong. In any case, there's still some attention to detail needed.
Note that on the sign, you can find two different trails. One is the Hollyridge trail viewing area and the other is the Tyrolian tank viewing area. Hollyridge Trail is the front viewpoint and Tyrolian Tank is for the back of the sign. This is an important distinction to make and will determine how you make the trail.

The hike starts off okay and then there is an incline on a path that's very sandy and filled with gravels but keep going until you reach a turnaround point. Keep going on the trail until you get to the sign that directs you to the Hollywood sign, specifically the Hollyridge trail then turn left and continue walking upwards on that same path. Feel free to use your phone map to find your way as well. Thanks to technology, things can be easier than they were.

1.) You can also do it via Griffith Park which is one of the biggest municipal parks in the whole of the United States. You can easily get to the park and then hike your way to the hollywood sign. This is one of the easiest way.
2.) It goes without saying but maake sure to wear comfortable shoes for your hike as you want it to be as painless as possible.
3.) Don't forget your water bottle. This isn't the toughest hike but it definitely can take a toll so make sure to be hydrated through it all. Your body will thank you for it.
