The FemAle Brew Fest — the annual beer festival celebrating women in the brewing industry — has announced it will return to Fort Lauderdale this fall.
Now in its fourth year, the pioneering festival will take place from 1 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, September 18, at the newly-opened Kimpton Goodland hotel on Fort Lauderdale Beach. The partnership will provide festival-goers with the opportunity to have a true beercation with packages that include an all-inclusive option that includes accommodations and tickets for two to the 2021 festival.
The Brew Fest is pet-friendly, with a portion of proceeds going to the Abandoned Pet Rescue (APR), a South Florida non-profit, no-kill shelter that rescues abandoned, abused, and neglected pets, rehabilitates them, and finds them new homes. For those attending the festival, they'll be welcomed at the pet-friend Kimpton Goodland.
According to festival organizers, the female-centric beer festival continues to not only highlight the amazing women in brewing, but also create memorable experiences that last a lifetime for both brewers and attendees alike.
The festival will continue its traditions of female-led bands, DJs, and vendors while adding to the opportunity for brands to create activations and pop-up shops throughout the hotel property and in select rooms that open onto the hotel's private courtyards where participating breweries will be stationed.
"Moving to this new location allows us to be one of the first major events to take place at the Kimpton Goodland Fort Lauderdale Beach, while also allowing us to utilize the hotel's meandering pathways that open into its themed courtyards to create a truly curated experience never before seen at a craft beer festival," says FemAle Brew Fest founder Frances Antonio-Martineau. "Plus, with Botanic — the hotel's food concept that takes inspiration from the farms, fields, and waters of Florida with touches of Latin and Caribbean influences — we can create special menus and offer beer and food pairings that enhance the festival atmosphere."
Confirmed breweries and bottle shops include Hydrosaurus Brewing, Ivanhoe Park Brewing Company, Sideward Brewing Co., Yeasty Brews Artisanal Beers, Barrel of Monks Brewing, Funky Buddha Brewery, Islamorada Beer Company, Ellipsis Brewing, Tarpon River Brewing, and Craft Beer Cellar.
