IKEA is definitely one of the most interesting stores that I’ve ever shopped at. Recently, my girlfriend and I moved out. With any move, you’re going to need to buy new things for your place, and IKEA came to mind.
I went inside, not knowing exactly what to expect from this giant blue building. I’ve heard people say they have a bunch of great furniture, some good food, and that it’s giant.
My first impression of IKEA is that it’s a museum for furniture. There were so many people walking in, out, and around the entire store.
When my girlfriend and I found tables and chairs we wanted to purchase, we had to figure out how to acquire the item. We took pictures of the tags and were directed to the basement area where they warehouse all the items.
When you’re ready to buy your item, you go down to a register where a person looks up your item and tells you which aisle to go to acquire it. If the item is too big, then they’ll direct you to the pickup counter, send you a text, and you can come and pull it out on a cart.
The food court is really unique. It’s got Swedish foods, hot dogs, smoothies, and other treats. They really know how to keep your hunger under control so that you can spend more time there, and eventually more money.
IKEA is easily the perfect place to go for first-time moves. We got really high-quality items for a fairly low price. The customer service and speed of buying items impressed me.
The next time you need new furniture or things around the house, consider shopping at IKEA.
