On early Monday morning, a woman lost her life after being hit by a trailer on 210 Freeway and Glendora Avenue.
The fatal pedestrian crash involving a trailer attached to a semi-tractor took place just before 1:00 a.m. As per reports, the woman walked into the far right lane of westbound 210 Freeway, east of Glendora Avenue after which the trailer struck her. On arrival, Glendora police officers found the woman who seemed to have suffered a gunshot wound, stated CHP Officer Patrick Kimball.
The CHP issued a SigAlert which shut down lanes 3 and 4 of the Foothill Freeway at Sunflower Avenue and the on-ramp during the investigation. By 3:54 a.m., the lanes have opened again for traffic. Authorities will reveal the identity of the deceased after notifying the next of kin.
The crash remains under investigation.
