The first time I tried Magnolia Bakery was in New York City. I didn't want to leave, I just wanted to eat their incredible banana pudding.

In 1996, Magnolia Bakery opened its first location on a quiet street corner in the heart of New York City’s West Village. From its inception, Magnolia Bakery has been cherished for its classic American baked goods, vintage decor and warm, inviting atmosphere.

There's something warm and special about Magnolia Bakery, it has the coziest vibe a bakery could give.

In 2007, Magnolia Bakery’s original owner passed her oven mitts to Steve and Tyra Abrams. Together, the Abrams’ have thoughtfully expanded the bakery from its first West Village shop to locations worldwide. Today, Magnolia Bakery can be found in New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, Boston, Washington, D.C., Dubai, Riyadh, Amman, Abu Dhabi, Manila and Doha.

Not only do they offer amazing baked goods, but they also offer private classes and there's a cookbook that will teach you how to make their prized delicacies.

They're known for their banana pudding, and it really is some of the best you'll ever get. It's layers of vanilla wafers, fresh bananas, and creamy vanilla pudding. Simple, but delicious.

They also have a carrot cake banana pudding, which is made with layers of vanilla pudding, bananas, and freshly baked carrot cake packed with freshly grated carrot, coconut, pineapple, raisins, and walnuts.

Another personal favorite is the Billionaire Banana Pudding which is made with layers of vanilla pudding, vanilla wafers, bananas, double fudge brownie bits, and caramel.

If you're a peanut butter fan, try their Peanut Butter Chocolate Banana Pudding, made with layers of creamy peanut butter pudding, chocolate chips, crushed peanuts, oreo wafers, and bananas.

Now, moving on to better and smaller items like cupcakes and cakes.

They have the classic vanilla cupcakes with buttercream, chocolate cupcakes with chocolate buttercream, old-fashioned cakes with light crumbs, and rich and moist cakes with smooth velvety textures like their Red Velvet.

I'm a big fan of their Reese's cupcake, it's a chocolate cupcake with Peanut Butter buttercream, topped with Reese's Pieces.

Carrot cupcake is delicious too, it has freshly grated carrot, coconut, pineapple, raisins, and walnuts which means that every bit of this cake is chock-full of goodness! Finished with cream cheese icing and toasted walnuts.

Another popular option is the hummingbird cupcake, made with bananas, pineapples, pecans, and sweetened cream cheese icing.

If you're a chocolate fan, try their chocolate hazelnut banana cupcake made with mini chocolate chips, filled with Nutella, and iced with a smooth and creamy Nutella buttercream.
