Work from home is one of the most convenient things that has come out of the Covid-19 pandemic.
You get to work from home in your pajamas, get more sleep with the absence of a commute, and spend more time with your family or animals.
One aspect of work from home that has truly made me happy is working from home with my girlfriend. We get along so well and always want more time together, and work from home allows us to accomplish just that.
We’ve been doing it for nearly five months now and we still haven’t gotten sick of each other. It’s due to our special connection, our mutual understanding, and our internal drive.
Work from home with your significant other makes them your only in-person co-worker, which is beautiful in itself.
As very driven individuals, we both know that there’s time to work hard and time to play hard. With work from home, we can have a healthy balance of productivity and quality time.
Looking across the table at my girlfriend grinding makes me fall in love with her even deeper than I already have. It’s so reassuring to be with an amazing soul who has the same, if not more drive than I do.
Coworkers can be huge distractions when it comes to working. There can be drama, unnecessary, beef, and awkward situations. But with your significant other, all of that disappears and you feel a great sense of familiarity.
There’s so much more quality time together when you work from home with your significant other.
Obviously, you’re going to both be working. But it’s really sweet to take breaks to truly appreciate one another. Little surprise kisses, hugs from behind, and tons of jokes make the day fly so much faster.
There isn’t a dull moment we have together and that’s a credit to my girlfriend’s amazing sense of humor. I’ve never met anyone who makes me laugh and smile the way she does. I’m so grateful.
Instead of being apart during work, we get to stay close and accomplish everything we need to do without feeling like we’re drifting apart.
Final Thought
Work from home was convenient when I was single. I liked sleeping in, working in whatever clothes I want, and so much more.
But nothing, and I mean nothing compares to working from home with my girlfriend. As an entrepreneur, it can be a very lonely journey. But I found my ride or die. I found the woman who’s by my side no matter what. She’s irreplaceable.
I know it’s a rare situation, but if you have the incredible opportunity to work from home with your significant other, live it to the fullest because it won’t last forever.
