CLEVELAND, OH — The Cleveland International Film is accepting submission for CIFF46. The festival will be held on March 30 – April 10, 2022. Films of any runtime, genre, and from any country are eligible for consideration but must be with a completed production date after June 1, 2020.
The CIFF46 will take place in Playhouse Square, the largest performing arts center outside New York. The festival will be an in-person event, but still following Playhouse Square’s health and safety protocols. There will also be an online component and will be informed at a later date. The details of the festivals are subject to change, based on the circumstances of the COVID-19 pandemic
CIFF will include hundreds of films, post-film conversations and Q&As with filmmakers, balloting and awards with cash prizes for a feature and short films. CIFF is one of the festivals that is Academy Award® qualifying for all three categories of short films—live-action, animated and documentary.

On April 7 – 20, 2021, CIFF45 Stream took place and presented 118 feature films and 182 short films from 63 countries to a national online audience of 102,432 viewers with a total award of $114,500.
The residents of Cuyahoga County supported the Cleveland International Film Festival through a public grant from Cuyahoga Arts and Culture and made possible by the Ohio Legislature to the Ohio Arts Council (OAC).
