"Established in 2017, Met Her at a Bar is your hip little neighborhood cafe! We specialize in delicious, authentic Belgian waffles, La Colombe coffees, and so much more! Come hang out with us!"

Met Her At A Bar has been my favorite brunch spot since I first discovered it in 2018, since then it's been a weekend go-to. The background story is just as epic as the food that is served in this quirky little cafe.

It was truly a perfect starry spring night on the sunset strip when she entered, and I noticed her immediately from behind the bar. I couldn’t keep my eyes off of her. Time was of the essence and I began to worry that I would lose the chance to say hello before she vanished into the LA night.  “Three sheets to the wind,” I said, and I introduced myself. Unfortunately, the wind was not strong enough and I did not land her number. Thank goodness for social media! After finally tracking her down we connected, and to this day she thanks me for the stalking. Fast forward a few years later, we opened our own café together called, “Met Her At A Bar.”  So come hang with us and enjoy our homemade Belgian waffles and curated coffees!

If you're coming for breakfast, start with the Oh Wow Crispy French Toast made with cinnamon swirl brioche, creme brulee base, corn flakes, Nutella, and berries. Did the Nutella get you?

Feel free to share everything because the list doesn't stop there. I always need something savory as well, and I'm a big fan of breakfast sandwiches, especially their Breakfast Sandwich made on a brioche bun, scrambled eggs, cheddar cheese. bacon, and chipotle aioli.

If you're looking for a lighter option, try their Chia Berries Overnight Oats made with oats, chia, berries, almond milk and organic granola.

I'm usually hungover on Sunday mornings so I stick to the hearty options, like their Classic Eggs Benedict with poached eggs, ham, English muffin, hollandaise, and breakfast potatoes. You could get a salad instead but who would pick a salad over breakfast potatoes?

If I'm really feeling the drinking from the night before, I always go for a burrito. What's better than that? Their Met Her Breakfast Burrito with scrambled eggs, chorizo, bacon, cheddar cheese, waffle fries, onion, tomato, and breakfast potatoes is the best thing you could have.

They also have a great selection of waffles, savory and sweet. I personally prefer sweet waffles but my friends swear by their fried chicken and waffles with tom yum seasoning and crispy basil. You can't go wrong with their You Make Me Wake Up Happy waffle either with scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, and maple butter.

If you do prefer the sweeter options, the Vegan Salted Caramel Waffle is delicious, with toasted coconuts, and if you're really trying to knock the sugar out of the park go for their OMG Oreo Fudge Waffle or Now This Is Love Waffletella.

If you don't make it to breakfast, don't worry because their lunch is great too. I love their Crispy Chicken Sandwich with kale slaw, dill pickles, green curry aioli, and french fries.

The grain bowl is a great and healthy option, with wild black rice, quinoa, baby heirloom tomatoes, carrots, avocado, organic greens, shaved parmesan, cheese, toasted hemp seeds, and the option to add a fried egg or grilled chicken. I love the chicken.

Also a big fan of their Chicken Club because it's made with sourdough, and comes with tomato, avocado, bacon, mixed greens, chipotle mayo, and a side of waffle fries.

They also serve alcohol here so if you're in the mood for a sangria, mimosa, or a peach bilini, they've got you covered. Their Met Her Cold brew is tasty and so is their Matcha latte.
