On Sunday, a car struck and injured two children and their mother while they were crossing a La Jolla Street.
San Diego police reported that the family was hit by a white Rolls-Royce SUV at around 10:20 a.m. at the intersection of La Jolla Shores Drive and Vallecitos. On arrival, emergency crews transported the two children, whose ages were unknown, to Rady Children’s Hospital with minimal injuries. Officials have not confirmed if their mother was taken to a hospital for her treatment. Officers did not confirm that the driver was impaired at the time of the crash.
The authorities will continue to investigate the accident.
