HOUSTON, TX — The city of Pasadena supports teachers in providing school supplies through its ‘Fill the Bus’ program.
The program is a partnership between the City of Pasadena, the Pasadena Chamber of Commerce and the Pasadena Independent School District. It was first started in 2018 to encourage the community to donate school supplies for the upcoming school year.
Every school year, teachers are expected to provide school supplies from their personal budget for their classrooms, especially in Title I school districts such as Pasadena ISD. ‘Fill the Bus’ program empowers teachers to decide the materials they need and get help in fulfilling the list.
This year, some of the supplies needed are:
- No. 2 Pencils
- Crayons
- Markers
- Erasers
- Highlighters
- Elmer's Glue
- Glue Sticks
- Folders and Binders
- Composition Notebooks
- Notebook Paper
- Facial Tissue
- Hand Sanitizer
- Batteries
