There are so many rides for your little ones.

The Walt Disney World is also called the Walt Disney World Resort and Disney World. It is one of the best entertainment sites in the United States. This resort complex is situated in Bay Lake and Lake Buena Vista, Florida, United States, only a few kilometers away from the cities of Orlando and Kissimmee. It was opened in October 1971 and is owned and operated by the famous Disney Parks, Experiences and Products, which is a division of The Walt Disney Company.

If you have never been to the Walt Disney World, let me tell you that it is quite spacious, covering an area of 25,000 acres (101 km2). Out of this, half of the site has been used and the rest of the place is empty and full of trees, plants, and flowers. So it is going to be exciting to go there and spend some time with your kids this summer.

The Main Theme Parks of the Walt Disney World

There are a total of four theme parks in the resort complex. Their names are Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Epcot, and the Magic Kingdom. Besides, you will find two different water parks here along with 27 themed resort hotels. There are 9 non-Disney hotels too, a couple of golf courses, one camping resort, and plenty of entertainment venues.

The Magic Kingdom was the very first theme park to open in this complex. It was opened in 1971, and in 1982, Epcot was founded. Afterward, in 1980, Disney's Hollywood Studios was opened, and in 1998, Disney's Animal Kingdom was established.

By 2018, Walt Disney World became the most visited vacation resort in the world. It is known to attract more than 55 million visitors every year. Some time ago, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Walt Disney World laid off nearly 6000 workers and operated at only 25 percent capacity after reopening.

The Wonderful Rides for Children

In case you decide to bring your kids to this resort complex, you must know the types of rides it has. This will help you bring the family to the area where those rides are present and will save a lot of time on the search. The first ride I’d like to talk about is Space Mountain. It is the most thrilling and amazing ride out there. It is basically a high-speed rollercoaster with lots of twists and turns.

The Thunder Mountain is also very good. This outdoor rollercoaster is not as wild as the name suggests. I love it because of its unique theme. Pirates of the Caribbean is something you should not miss if you are in the Walt Disney World. It is a gentle and interesting indoor cruise through which you will see different scenes of the pirate. Every time you and your kids ride it, you will notice new things and may find a lot of information. The movies were inspired by this classic ride.

Finally, there is a Haunted Mansion where you should bring your kids only if they are brave and can spend some time in darkness. This slow ride will bring you to a haunted estate where there are so many ghouls and ghosts. It is going to be fun and may or may not scare some of you. The queue features a variety of elements like a musical crypt.
