One of the things I love most about New York City is the crazy amount of shopping opportunities. I mean I guess it makes sense, NYC is one of the fashion capitals of the world, so obviously it is fitting that there is tons and tons of shopping to do here. Even though there is some incredible shopping in the city, it can also get pretty pricey. And I know I for one am on a pretty tight budget when it comes to shopping so I am constantly looking for good deals!

And since NYC is a fashion capital there are tons of places throughout the city to find amazing deals on unique, one of a kind pieces. Luckily for those of us on a tight budget NYC is filled with thrift shops, consignment shops, flea markets, vintage stores, and more! So you can definitely get in your shopping fix without having to break the bank!

So I figured why not share some of the best thrifting spots in the city with you guys! Here are my top picks for thrift and vintage shops in New York City:

10 Ft Single by Stella Dallas (Williamsburg)

10 Ft Single by Stella Dallas is a thrift and vintage store located in Williamsburg, Brooklyn (285 North 6th St.). This shop is great because it is in the heart of Brooklyn where honestly all of the best vintage shopping is! 10 Ft Single by Stella Dallas has tons of selection of vintage clothing and you know you can definitely find something cool and unique there! They have such a cool rustic vibe and I just love it!

Buffalo Exchange (All over the city)

Next up is Buffalo Exchange. They have locations all over the city including stores in Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Astoria, Queens. Buffalo Exchange is a buy/sell/trade store, and they have such an incredible selection of pieces! Not only do they have a ton of great stuff, but it’s very inexpensive as well which is always a plus!

L Train Vintage (Williamsburg)

And going back into Williamsburg, Brooklyn is L Train Vintage. They actually have several locations in Brooklyn and one in Manhattan as well. Once again, they are a vintage thrift store with tons of unique and cool pieces that are all so well priced. It’s one of the best places to find affordable vintage fashion in New York City!

Nolita Market (Nolita)

Next up is not a store, but a flea market which is such a great place to find inexpensive and cool clothing pieces! The Nolita Market located on Prince St in Nolita, Manhattan is an outdoor artisan market. It’s very small and underrated with great prices on amazing clothing pieces! At this market not only can you find clothing but jewelry, sunglasses, and more!

Brooklyn Flea (Dumbo and Williamsburg)

And last but not least, another flea market that is a must for discount thrift and vintage shoppers - the Brooklyn Flea Market. This market is located in Dumbo, Brooklyn on Sundays and Williamsburg, Brooklyn on Saturdays. This is a huge flea market with tons and tons of vendors. It’s great for vintage designer clothing and antiques.
