CARROLL COUNTY, GA — The Carroll County Humane Society encourages residents to get involved in helping the Carroll County animals.

Become a member of The Carroll County Humane Society to get more insight and not miss volunteer opportunities and updates. If you have done that, here are ways you can further contribute:

- Adopt a Carroll County Humane Society Foster Animal

The animals in the Carroll County shelter and other homeless animals have been rescued, given vaccines, tests, and have been spayed and neutered.

You will help give the cats and dogs a new loving family and home By adopting from the shelter. Here is the guideline for adopting either cats or dogs: https://www.carrollcountyhumane.org/adopting-a-feline-friend/ and https://www.carrollcountyhumane.org/adopting-a-canine-friend/.

- Become a Foster Parent

Foster dogs and cats until they get placed in a more permanent home. The foster parents are responsible for taking care of the animal, but the Humane Society will cover the medical costs associated with the process.

If you would like to become a foster parent for dogs or cats, contact CCHS at 770-830-2763 and leave your name and number.

- Adopt a Shelter Animal from the Carroll County Animal Shelter

You can see the list of the animals in the shelter by visiting https://www.carrollcountyhumane.org/shelter-animal. Read more to learn about the requirements and charges.
