New York City police are searching for a heartless carjacker who didn’t hesitate to steal a 73-year-old woman’s car. The authorities have revealed that the suspect took the vehicle while the woman’s little dog was still inside.

How did it all happen?

NYPD stated that the incident took place at about 1:15 p.m., on June 6. The elderly woman was reportedly sitting inside her car. She had parked her 2008 red Honda near the intersection of Mill Avenue and Mayfair Drive in Mill Basin.

A few second later the suspect approached the vehicle. He brandished a walking stick, threatening the woman.

Fox News reports that after that the suspect opened the victim’s side door. He pulled the woman from the car mercilessly. After that he got in the vehicle and drove away as fast as he could. The direction the vehicle was headed is not known at this time.

Who was left inside?

Unfortunately, the victim’s toy poodle didn’t have time to get out of the car. The toy poodle named Luna has been stolen along with the car and the victim is very worried for her dog’s safety and wellbeing.

The woman was treated at an area hospital and is now in stable condition.
