Joliet is a city in Will and Kendall Counties in the U.S. state of Illinois, 30 miles southwest of Chicago. It is the county seat of Will County. According to the 2019 United States Census. Joliet’s population was estimated to be 147,344, making it the third-largest city in Illinois. While the heart and history of Joliet are centered around the Des Plaines River, Joliet actually expands across both the Des Plaines and DuPage Rivers.
