HOUSTON — Rosenberg Library in Galveston County is holding its 2021 Summer Reading Program. It offers citizens from all age groups a chance to read, learn, explore and connect more. The program begins from May 28 through August 14.

There are three age groups of participants; children (0 to 12), teens (13 to 18) and adults (over 18). Reading enthusiasts can start participating by downloading an application called Beanstack, available in app stores.

Limited edition t-shirts will be awarded to lucky participants that register to Beanstack. There are also prizes from the library every check-out each week.

Children who complete twenty books will earn a personalized trophy. For inquiries regarding this age group’s category, contact Children’s Librarian Karen Stanley at kstanley@rosenberg-library.org or call (409) 763 – 8854 ext. 135.

The Teen Summer Reading Program is available for teens who love reading books from various genres such as fanfic, blogs, Wattpads, novel, manga, graphic novels or even audiobook listeners. Every participant will have the chance to earn three raffle tickets and a free choice of book in the library.

For every adult who registers to Beanstack, they will receive scratch tickets for an instant prize, raffle tickets for big-ticket items, and a summer reading book bag.

There are Henry Rosenberg coffee mugs for those who can complete fifty hours of reading before August 14. The raffle ticket winners will be drawn after August 14.
