No one comes between me and my ice cream and believe me, I know good ice cream when I see it! So I guess I'm not surprised that almost every ice cream shop in Webster, NY is packed with crowds after dinner. One of these places is Brusters on Ridge Road. If you're in the Webster area, chances are that you have drove the very busy Ridge Road and noticed the crowds in front of Brusters almost every night after dinner time.
A little about Brusters.
There are nearly 200 independently owned Brusters locations that are in 22 states as well as two other countries: Guyana and South Korea. Luckily for us, one of those locations is in Webster, NY and it's no secret that so many people love to get ice cream at Brusters! Just parking near the ice cream shop, you can already smell the sweet ice cream and waffle cone even before you approach the window.
In my opinion, I think that there are several reasons why there are crowds in front of Brusters almost every night in the summer, making it a popular Webster hang out spot.
- They have endless options. Whatever your preference is for for a cold refreshing dessert, chances are, Brusters has it. From dairy and dairy free ice cream to frozen yogurt and sorbet, you have your pick. Not only are there different types, you also have many flavors to choose from.
- Great location. It is no secret that Ridge Road in Webster is a busy street. I would guess that almost every Webster resident drives on Ridge Road on a weekly basis. This helps Brusters' business because it gives everyone a daily reminder that the ice cream shop is there and it's open. There is no way you would be able to miss the crowds of people enjoying their perfect ice cream.
- It's a spacious outdoor area with some seating. You just can't take ice cream everywhere with you, especially on a hot summer day. As a result, I think that is another reason why Brusters is a great attraction. The yard around Brusters is kid friendly because it's away from the road and can hold a lot of people so you can enjoy your ice cream in peace without having to rush home or to a different location before it melts.
My favorite ice cream flavor.
I'll take a single New York Cheesecake or Pistachio in a waffle cone please. Those are my two favorite flavors and Brusters and long story short, if you ask me, the crowds are very well worth it for the ice cream that they serve. In fact, the Brusters teams is always very friendly and quick so even though there is usually a crowd, the wait time to your ice cream will not be as bad as it seems.
