Do you feel safe while walking around cities?

Many people answer "no" to that question. Perhaps you're scared of being stabbed in a dark alleyway at night. Or maybe, you're scared of burglary, vehicle theft, or any other common type of crime that's committed in Washington state.

So with all of that in mind, I want to share a list of cities in the state of Washington that are ranked as extremely safe. Maybe you should visit them, and check them out for yourself!

Snoqualmie

Snoqualmie is a city in King County, Washington, United States, located near to Snoqualmie Falls. Seattle lies 28 miles to the east. The population was 10,670 in 2010, and it is expected to grow to 13,622 in 2019.

The city's scenic and recreational assets are now supporting the development of a large local tourist sector. The Salish Lodge and the Northwest Railway Museum are both located in the city, in addition to the Falls. The Salish Lodge is located near Puget Sound Energy's Snoqualmie Fall Park, atop Snoqualmie Falls. In the city, the museum owns a historic depot and runs a historic tourist train.

The crime rate is approximately 13 per 1,000 residents.

West Richland

West Richland is a city located in Benton County, Washington. At the time of the 2010 census, the population was 11,811. The city is part of the Tri-Cities metropolitan region, which includes Richland, Kennewick, and Pasco as major cities.

For the period of the Manhattan Project in the 1940s, the War Department created, ran, and maintained the city of Richland. Many people were irritated by the government's rules, and as a result, many of them relocated over the Yakima River, where they could buy property and own (rather than rent) a home.

The crime rate is approximately 7 per 1,000 residents.

Sunnyside

Walter Granger established the town in 1893. W. H. Cline, a trader, came up with the moniker "Sunnyside." Granger was involved in the funding and building of the Sunnyside Canal, which would allow water from the Yakima River to be used to irrigate the region.

The Dunkards, who were members of the German Baptist Progressive Brethren, moved to Sunnyside to established the Christian Cooperative Colony. The Brethren purchased the whole town site and built the town's first bank and phone infrastructure. As a condition of every plot of land sold, they imposed covenants forbidding drinking, dancing, and gambling. As a result, the town of Washington is marked on historical maps with a cross or halo sign.

The crime rate is approximately 37 per 1,000 residents.
