Because state parks can often be busy, the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources has the following tips for visiting state parks in your area.
- Plan to be flexible. Explore new destinations, and try to arrive early in the morning. Parks are busy as more people get outdoors, so the Department of Natural Resources encourages you to discover a new favorite this summer!
- Arrive prepared. Check visitor alerts and download maps before your trip. Bring everything you might need as area parks transition back to full service.
- Recreate responsibly. If you are not vaccinated, please wear a face covering indoors and stay 6 feet from others. Help conserve these special places for the future by staying on trails and leaving no trace.
