Incredible And Healthy Food At Flower Child

At Flower Child, we make every last bite from scratch, using fresh ingredients from close to home and serving healthy food that takes you to a happy place. That’s our promise to you, whether you’re vegetarian, vegan, paleo, or just hungry. And just because we can do sugar-free, dairy-free and gluten-free doesn’t mean we do flavor-free… because where’s the happy in that?

Flower Child is a new spot I started going to for lunch and lately, dinner. They offer incredibly healthy and delicious options for everyone and their dietary preferences.

Not only are the options delicious, but every dish is also thoughtfully created and appealing to the eye.

I go to the Santa Monica location and always get something light to start with, like their daily soup or a simple hummus. They also offer avocado hummus if you want to get in some healthy fats into your system.

For lunch I like to opt for a salad, and lately kale salads have tasted really good. Their organic kale salad is made with pink grapefruit, organic apple, red cabbage, black currant, smoked almond, white cheddar, and apple cider vinaigrette.

Another one I love is their Taco Salad, made with Romaine, Red Cabbage, Avocado, Chickpea Chorizo, Organic Black Bean, Roasted Corn, Organic Tomato, Pepitas, and Cilantro Lime Dressing.

You can add protein to their salads and they offer chicken, salmon, steak, shrimp or tofu.

Whenever I head here for dinner I like a nice warm bowl, their Glow Bowl is made with spicy sweet potato noodle, bok choy, zucchini, onion, jalapeño, shiitake mushroom, coconut milk, and sunflower butter and is a great option.

I'm also a huge fan of their Chicken Enchiladas with Guajillo Chile, Smoked Gouda, Poblano Crema, Organic Black Bean, Roasted Corn, and Avocado.

If you're not in the mood for a bowl, get an entree with one of their protein options, I love their steak which is served medium, and then I get 1-2 sides, they offer a nice variety but I recommend their smashed gold potato, yuzu Brussels sprouts, green goddess asparagus, or their roasted broccoli made with lemon, garlic, and parmesan bread crumbs.
Another great option, especially for lunch, is wraps, they have a flying avocado wrap with smoked turkey, gouda, romaine, tomato, and avocado hummus, or The Rebel made with grilled steak, charred onion, port salut cheese, arugula, and horseradish yogurt (a favorite).
Grab a kombucha along with your meal and head on over to the beach which is only a street away from the Santa Monica location.
