ATLANTA — The LGBTQIA community celebrates pride month every June. Georgia Tech’s LGBTQIA Resource Center plans to mark this colorful month after staff and students come back to campus in the fall with these activities, resources and events:

QT Chats

June 16 and 30, 10 – 11 a.m. (continues biweekly)

QT Chats is a bi-weekly face-to-face discussion at the Georgia Tech LGBTQIA Resource Center. The topic discussion will focus on gender and sexuality and are accessible to all students.

Pride Alliance / Grad Pride / T+ / Ace Space

The LGBTQIA Resource Center advises a wide array of student organizations to facilitate leadership and involvement opportunities. From encouraging allyship education training and working with community-specific groups.

Lavender Graduation

Each April, the Resource Center celebrates LGBTQIA+ undergraduate and graduate students who are completing their degrees. The Lavender Graduation ceremony is open to any student interested in participating, and classmates, faculty, and staff members are invited to attend in support.

Campus Health and Well-being Resources

The Georgia Tech Counseling Center gives group and individual counseling for LGBTQIA+ students. Stamps Health Services is also available to aid students with their medical requirements.

Student Emergency Fund

LGBTQIA organizations at Georgia Tech have joined forces to begin a relief fund to assist trans and queer students with emergencies in their time at Tech. Donations to the fund are now being accepted.

Safe Space Training

June 22, 12:30 – 4:30 p.m.

These virtual training sessions are open to all employees, Georgia Tech affiliates, graduate students, and postdocs who have an interest in digging deeper about how to practice collaboration with the LGBTQIA community are welcomed.

Allyship Guidance

The resource center has gathered various tips and guidelines to aid those interested in becoming allies in developing more welcoming, supportive, and inclusive networks for LGBTQIA faculty, staff, and students.
