AKRON — Salaam! There are several good restaurants that serve halal, Middle-Eastern dishes in Akron. However, when it comes to being the best, Mid-East Cafe & Restaurant is surely the one. It is at least one of the best places in Akron where you can find good quality halal dishes accompanied by top-notch service.

With 5-star ratings on Yelp as well as stellar testimonies in Google Review and other sites, Mid-East offers a refreshing experience in dining. Here are some of the reviews.

“This place is awesome!! The decor inside is very fun and inviting and the owner is super friendly and helpful! Not expensive at all and the food was delicious!! I got New York city’s finest halal chicken over rice with white sauce and it was AMAZING!!! definitely, a place to check out if you’re looking for dinner tonight!! :) Will be trying their coffee or tea next time!” Natalie B. on Yelp.

“They have a very relaxed layout that encourages socialization (of course when it’s safe to do so). They have tables where people can eat as well as booths for hookah. The staff is friendly and the owner was hilarious. Love the atmosphere of the place! ... Their chicken was super tender and flavorful along with the rice. The white garlic sauce with their hot sauce was the perfect combination. The hot sauce definitely had heat but you could still taste the flavor of the sauce. ... I’m very happy this Middle Eastern place opened up. It’s honestly just the restaurant that Akron needed. There aren’t too many middle eastern restaurants around. Will be back very soon to try more!” - Gabby R. on Yelp.

“Really great food! I got the chicken over rice and hibiscus drink and both were great. The owner is very nice” - Priya S. on Yelp.

If you are interested in visiting the place, you can find it at 306 E Exchange St. Sawfa arak hunak! See you there!
