2. Hattie B's Hot Chicken – Atlanta

(299 Moreland Ave NE Atlanta, GA 30307)

“AH, so good! This location was super close to our Airbnb so we knew it was meant to be. Ordered pickup, and it was ready in 15 minutes. Chicken is incredibly good, well-seasoned. The beans were super sweet and delightful, the slaw was a bit underwhelming, and the potato salad was delicious. We really enjoyed the banana pudding too!” – Devin on Yelp

Kids would definitely love well-seasoned and fast serving food and a sweet banana pudding to have for dessert, this restaurant also offers caterings for events!

Operation hours:

3. Mary Mac's Tea Room

(224 Ponce De Leon Ave NE Atlanta, GA 30308)

“Warning I wish I had - the line outside is not a line to put your name in!! We waited about 45 minutes before realizing we had to go inside to put our name in and wait for it to be called. Went to the brewery across the street to get a beer while we waited. Must-haves: Deviled eggs, potlikker soup, and yeast rolls. There's no way you'll eat all your food so get ready for take-home bags!”

Though it will take some time to wait, it is authentic and surely your family will enjoy a meal in this Atlanta tradition and tourist spot.

The restaurant opens every day from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.

4. Buttermilk Kitchen

(4225 Roswell Rd NE Atlanta, GA 30342)

“This place is amazing. The food is great and so is the service. My husband and I arrived around 1 on a Friday afternoon. There are a few spots to park in the front and more in the back lot. We were quoted a 30-minute wait but it was more like 20 minutes. The blueberry lavender lemonade is incredibly refreshing. I highly recommend this place!” – Ann on Yelp

Spend your evening with your family in this cute and comfortable restaurant with their famous buttermilk chicken biscuit.

Operation hours: Wednesday-Sunday from 8 a.m. to 3 a.m.

5. Sway

(265 Peachtree St NE Hyatt Regency Atlanta Atlanta, GA 30308)

“Enjoyed our dining experience at sway. Fried chicken was moist and tender. The crab dip, loaded with crab. Was really pleased with it. My husband said his shrimp and grits had so much flavor. Perfection. And the pie bar, oh my! We also took the kids with us. Great kids meal Option. Our server was great and complimented our kids as being behaved and well-mannered guests. Enjoyed our family dinner.” – Donna on Yelp

While going on a staycation, have a family brunch or dinner in this family-friendly restaurant that offers you a delicious kid's menu.
