(MACOMB COUNTY, Mich.) Musician and Michigan native Kid Rock is under fire for using homophobic language on multiple occasions within the past several days, the Detroit Free Press reports.

While performing at the Fishlipz Bar & Grill in Smithville, Tennessee, this past Saturday, Rock, real name Robert James Ritchie and originally from Romeo, Michigan, dropped multiple F-bombs about audience members filming him with their phones.

After a short while, he then dropped a homophobic slur.

“You (expletive) (homophobic slur) with your phones out!

The incident, which was captured on camera and first obtained by TMZ, drew anger towards Rock from fans. In response, he once again spewed out homophobic insults on social media on Wednesday afternoon.

Rock's recent actions aren't the first time he's found himself in hot water for disrespectful comments. Over the years he's spewed racist and offensive verbiage towards other celebrities such as Oprah Winfrey, Joy Behar and civil rights activist Rev. Al Sharpton.
