(THE BRONX, N.Y.) A narcotics bust Wednesday led to officials removing more than two dozen pounds of cocaine, guns and $350,000 in cash off the streets in the Bronx, according to ABC 7 NY.

Police said an alleged drug trafficker and two other individuals were arrested and charged with a high-level cocaine distribution operation in the Morris Park section of the borough.

DEA agents captured over 10 kilograms of cocaine, which hold a street value of about $3.5 million. They also seized $350,000 in cash, a pistol and an assault rifle in the sting.

"This case reflects the NYPD's continued effort to stop the trafficking of narcotics by targeting those most responsible," NYPD Police Commissioner Dermot Shea said.

Jose Velez was accused of leading the cocaine distribution operation and faces multiple charges, per ABC 7.

The two other accomplices, Jordan Worthley and Melina Masullo, both face charges of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the first and third degree.

According to the authorities, some of the cocaine was found to be in a Swiffer box.

Police said they believe the drugs arrived in New York via mail from Puerto Rico.
