HOUSTON — Visit one of the most realistic escape room games in the U.S. Apollo 13 at the 'Escape It Houston'. Participants will feel like they are in a spaceship in outer space as they play in a team locked in Mission Control. The participants must work together to crack codes, solve challenges, and find hidden passages to return the trapped astronauts to earth safely.

This adventure game is based on Apollo 13's near-tragic lunar mission, which happened 51 years ago on April 13, 1970. Their exploration journey changed to an escape quest when an oxygen tank failed and exploded approximately 56 hours into the journey. Dubbed by NASA as 'The Successful Failure', the lessons learned from the mission continue to guide safety and mission assurance at the space agency even today.

Each game will consist of six to twelve players in sixty minutes duration. There are commander, pilot, navigator, and engineer positions. The teams that passed the Escape Room will be announced in the Escape Room Leaderboard on escapeithouston.com.

The 'Escape It Houston' is located at 125 W Gray St. Suite 100. Players must be at least 10 years old, and children aged between 10 to 15 years must be accompanied by a paying adult. The venue is wheelchair and stroller accessible, and service animals are allowed.

Tickets cost $43 and can be purchased online. The price includes all fees and taxes, free parking, and complimentary photographs. To find out further, visit escapeithouston.com or theculturetrip.com and search 'Apollo 13 Escape Room'.
