HOUSTON - Dining with your family can be a lovely and experience, and there is no harm in going for it at interesting restaurants in town. On this list, you’ll find the best places to visit for your family mealtime in Houston.

1. The Rustic

1121 Uptown Park Blvd Ste 4 Houston, TX 77056

“Ok hear me out...the family-style brunch here is a MUST!! To be honest, I probably could go here for brunch every weekend and be completely okay with it. I can't speak for anything else here besides the brunch experience though, but there are other reviews for that.

For $16-something a person, you are provided with a set meal that gives you a bit of everything-- light bites, fried savory options, and sweet French toast and donuts to finish it off.

They will increase the serving size of each dish depending on the size of your party, so no worries, there will be plenty of food to go around. It honestly is a lot of food, and I always felt stuffed after the meal.

The ambiance is also great! Lots of seating both indoor and outdoor with live music. It's a very lively and fun place.

Did I particularly feel super safe during COVID? Not really due to how many people were there during peak hours. On the plus side, the space is very large and open, and it allowed the tables to be decently spaced apart. This made it feel a little bit better.” - Demi T. on Yelp

2. District 7

15377 Memorial Dr Ste 122 Houston, TX 77079

“This was a pleasant surprise! The restaurant is beautiful on the inside and the patio is pretty nice! Went here for brunch and was not disappointed. The staff, Ivan especially, was attentive and provided great service. The omelets we had were great! The waffles were amazing!! I definitely think it I place to try!” - Mildred A. on Yelp

3. Mia’s Table

3131 Argonne St Houston, TX 77098

“The food selection, from a healthy standpoint, hits the entire range. If you want chicken fried steak, go for it. but if you are feeling healthy and want a grilled salmon salad, they have that too! There is a decent selection of alcohol as well; wines, local beer on tap, and some frozen drinks as well.

I went for the Karbach Crawford Bock (a safe choice). Since it was my first time, I had to try the chicken fried chicken. It was moderately busy so we probably waited about 15 minutes or so for our food to come out, but I didn't mind. For my two sides, I picked coleslaw and sweet potato fries.

But first. the chicken. it is so delicious and crispy. I got the sauce on the side because I like to eat slowly and didn't want soggy breading. I know now why everyone raves over that jalapeño gravy. SO TASTY.

In case you are wondering, it is not spicy at all, it just has the wonderful flavor of jalapenos and southern-style gravy. the sides were great too, the coleslaw was a refreshing break from the chicken & gravy. the sweet potato fries were meaty on the inside and crispy on the outside.” - China D. on Yelp

4. Sixty Vines

2540 University Blvd Houston, TX 77005

“Amazing place! I went there on Friday night for dinner and drinks with friends. The vibe was great and they stayed open quite late for a restaurant. Our server Lia was extremely helpful and friendly. She recommended we start with a cheese board, which I ended up ordering again as my main. She explained each of the items in the board and recommended trying some wine to pair with it. She built a custom wine flight for me after asking me what I liked. The selection was great and I ordered a glass of the Sauvignon Blanc after that. Definitely coming back again.” - David M. on Yelp

5. Bosscat Kitchen and Libations

4310 Westheimer Rd Ste 150 Houston, TX 77027

“This was a great choice from start to finish! Upon arriving the doors opened exactly at 11 am with the manager welcoming everyone in with a smile, warmth, and love. We were seated right away and the waiter Ava was amazing from the first hello; she made great recommendations and boy was she right about the cold but warming to the soul BC ice tea! (Yummy) and not to mention the breakfast shot; yes it's a shot of bourbon, OJ, and bacon on the side! (I know it's a must-see and taste to believe)

I was seated with a party of 7 and we ordered most of the menu (haha); (the menu is limited.. yup you guessed it due to Covid) anyway; the options available were amazing. We had the pancakes, chicken sausage, burrito, veggie omelet, fruity pebbles French toast, burger and fried chicken and some other stuff... I'm still full and probably won't eat for another day. LoL” - Quintella M. on Yelp
