EUCLID, CLEVELAND — Looking for fun activities to do with kids and family from your home? Mark your calendar as we have listed all that is interesting to do, courtesy of the Euclid Public Library, starting today.

1. ‘Reading Colors Your World’ Summer Reading Program

It’s a program for all ages offered by the Friends of the Euclid Public Library that will have you ‘Color Your World’ this summer. New subscribers will be gifted a freebie. For children in 6th grade and younger, the challenge entails reading for 15 minutes a day, while teens are challenged to read 30-45 minutes a day.

Reading more will add more entries to the big prize drawing as you can get grand prize entries by doing activities at home. All summer reading completers will receive a prize box! This program runs from Monday, June 7, to Saturday, July 31, 2021.

2. Virtual Scavenger Hunt, Thursday, June 10, 2021

This is an indoor scavenger hunt with a twist. Use your imagination and creativity to find some ordinary objects around your home. Perfect for ages 8-12.

You can participate with any internet-capable device such as computers, tablets, or smartphones. The event will go live this Thursday, June 10, 2021, from 2:00 PM - 2:30 PM (Eastern Time - US & Canada). Registration is required. Click here to register:

This program starts on Friday, June 11, 2021, at 3:00 PM - 3:30 PM (Eastern Time - US & Canada).

4. Virtual Armchair Travel - Great Smoky Mountains National Park

It’s a little wonder that the country’s most visited national park is the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, situated in the middle of North Carolina and Tennessee. Interested in joining EPL for a ranger-led virtual program? Here you’ll learn more about the natural and cultural wonders of the Great Smokies.
