"A unique neighborhood gathering place, The Front Yard, showcases LA's diverse flavors in a setting as casual and comfortable as an evening at an old friend's house. Come on over anytime and we'll set you a place around the table."

This restaurant is incredible. The outside doesn't do justice for what's inside. Not only is the decor and space downright beautiful, but the food is phenomenal.

"Executive Chef Larry Greenwood’s rise through the culinary ranks started from his humble beginnings as a line cook in his native Calgary, Alberta to sous chef and ultimately to executive chef, a position he has held at some of Los Angeles’ top restaurants for more than a decade. Greenwood’s passion and propensity for fresh, locally sourced ingredients and innovative cuisine have earned him well-regarded status as a seasoned Los Angeles chef and culinary leader."

First off, the happy hour menu is amazing. It's from 2:30-5:30 Monday through Friday, and from 3 to 5:30 on weekends.

In terms of apps on the HH menu they have,

Caramelized Brussel sprouts, wood oven-roasted olives, adobo french fries, green garbanzo hummus, cheese and crackers, chef's featured cheese dip (delicious), crispy chicken sliders, flatbread, and more.

They have a few beers and wines that are $6 and $7, as well as a few cocktails under $10. Jaime's Margarita with altos reposado tequila, shaken on the rocks is a good place to start.

Their regular dinner menu offers a huge variety of food options, they even include vegan ones too.

A few favorites are:

Deviled eggs with candied bacon, 12-minute cheese biscuits, charred shishito peppers (these are amazing), chive flatbread, fresh and roasted vegetables, shrimp and grits, jalapeno grits, hamachi and ahi Crudo and cucumber grilled octopus.

These are all great for sharing and if you're not in the mood for an entree then order a few appetizers and enjoy them alone because they're just as good as one full meal.

However, if you are in the mood for an entree, Mary's half chicken with garbanzo coconut curry, baby carrots, roast baby potatoes, and English peas is delicious and comforting.

The seared rare ahi is my personal favorite, flown in directly from Honolulu, it has birds of paradise rub, pineapple soy, blistered shishitos, melted leeks, and onion sprouts.

If you're more into steak try their prime flat iron with chimichurri, and adobo fries.

Or alternatively, their TFY burger is insanely good with truffle dijionnaise, wild mushrooms, truffle cheese, arugula, balsamic onion jam.

This spot is a great lunch, brunch or dinner place.
