Alabama is in the southeastern region of the United States, bordered by Tennessee, Georgia, Florida, the Gulf of Mexico, and Mississippi. The state ranks 30th in area and 24th in population among the conditions of the U.S.

In Alabama, football season begins when summer turns to fall. You might also just get out of the way if you don't learn how to Roll Tide. It is an essential part of life, and people will skip essential events, like weddings, if their schedule mixes with game day. The businesses close down so that people get to watch the game. There is also a strong following for high school football in this area.

On the other hand, here are the cons that you can expect about living in Alabama:

1. First, watch out for the cockroaches.

You might have to deal with cockroaches for the first time in Alabama if you consider the pest infestations where you currently reside wrong.

Smaller and scurrying around in dark corners of your house, the ones living further north seem to live further north. But, when you begin living in this state, you'll soon discover how they can fly at your head.

2. Still Partially Closed on Sundays

Alabama's most prominent cities have abandoned the tradition of shops being closed on Sundays, but it still exists to some degree. In addition, most stores and restaurants close before ten at night, so you'll need to adjust your clock accordingly. However, a lot is going on on Friday and Saturday nights, and most people eventually get used to this schedule.

3. Alabama might have been, but it isn't easy to get a drink sometimes.

Alabama still prohibits the sale of alcohol in some counties. There are also places where Sundays are forbidden. Some cities have limitations on the times of day when you buy something, while others allow it only in particular settings. In the north, the blue laws are way more common.

  9. To help fund education Alabama instituted its state sales tax in 1937.
  10. Schools established in Mobile include Washington Academy (founded in 1811) and Huntsville Green Academy (founded in 1812).
