On late Tuesday morning, a pedestrian suffered major injuries after being hit by a truck in Central Lubbock.
Emergency crews actively responded to the crash scene wherein a pedestrian and a truck were involved. The auto-pedestrian incident took place at about 11:40 a.m. in the 100 block of 66th Street. According to the Lubbock Police Department, a truck struck a pedestrian.
On arrival, medics rushed the pedestrian to University Medical Center with critical injuries. The identity of the victim has not been revealed at this time. Officials did not confirm if alcohol or drugs played a factor in the accident.
The authorities will continue to investigate the crash.
