Pickup vs. big rig crash killed a 34-year-old Wasco man on Magnolia Avenue and Merced Avenue (Bakersfield, CA)

On Monday afternoon, a 34-year-old Wasco man lost his life in a two-vehicle crash on Magnolia Avenue and Merced Avenue.

The incident took place on Magnolia Avenue and Merced Avenue just after 12:00 p.m. wherein a pickup and a big rig were involved. As per the department, the semi-truck was going south on Magnolia Avenue when it stopped at a stop sign at the Merced Avenue intersection.

Meanwhile, the Wasco man was traveling on a 2015 Toyota eastbound on Merced Avenue west of Magnolia Avenue when he slammed into the truck as it proceeded into the intersection. As of now, authorities have not provided any further information regarding the crash and the identity of the deceased remains undisclosed.

An investigation is underway.
