At 10 am on Tuesday police received a report of two people shot at 555 98th Ave. in Oakland.

Rescue units responded in minutes and arrived on scene to assist the victims of the shooting.

Officers are on the scene and confirmed two women were shot.

The suspect is reportedly a woman who fled into an apartment.

Officers are searching for the suspect. The victims were still conscious.

Shortly after 10 am, officers closed down the apartment complex to search for the suspect in the shooting.

Police advised the shooting may have taken place inside the building at the address.

Additional OPD units were en route to assist with the search for the suspect.

Police set up a perimeter. OPD units confirmed the suspect is a woman.

Police then detained two possible suspects in the stairwell of the building.

OPD officers advised that the shooting occurred in the hallway of the apartment building.

Police are working to positively identify the detained suspects as other officers closed and evacuated the nearby gas station.

OPD units then moved all pedestrians off of the nearby streets.

Traffic was shut down at Tyler St and Edes Ave.

Officers cleared the gas station and a corner store closed off the entire area with crime scene tape.

The female victim who sustained a gunshot wound to the neck is in stable condition, per an officer.

OPD officers were still trying to figure out if they detained the correct suspect and state the suspect may or may not be on location.

Both gunshot victims were in stable condition.
