The Poo Poo Point Trailhead is about 25 minutes from downtown Seattle, on the West side of Tiger Mountain. It's incredible to me just how different the surroundings can be, such a short drive from the city. That's one of the great things about Washington. Such a variety!

I was told this was not that difficult of a hike, but I beg to differ! I thought it was pretty difficult! Constant upward, lots of switchbacks...and so much greenery surrounding you as you hike that it felt very humid. And it was about 7 miles round trip. I did my fair share of whining, but let me tell you it sure was worth it. We reached the top, had a lovely picnic and got to watch the paragliders! It was really cool!

Here's the good news, you don't have to hike to the top of Poo Poo Point; you can actually drive up. Which is why it is such a popular spot for paragliding. And the view is spectacular! I do actually recommend the hike itself though; don't be a bum and drive up! Just make sure you're hydrated and go early! It's so popular that the trail can become pretty busy, which is something I don't love when I'm hiking.
