Whether you’re looking for a fine or relaxed dining experience, Shelbyville, KY has several great options for adults looking to go out for a date night, meet up with friends, or to celebrate a special occasion. Located between Frankfort and Louisville, Shelbyville is a great place to stop, dine, and enjoy quality time together.

Bell House

The Bell House, a local downtown favorite, features sumptuous cuisine made by Chef Brent Evans. From daily specials to menu staples, they offer a delicious variety of surf and turf main courses, appetizers, sandwiches, and salads, as well as sides, desserts, and beverages. Signature items include Prime Rib and Ribeye Steak, as well as Cedar Plank Salmon, Crispy Rosemary Chicken, and other tempting offerings. Their pasta dishes and Classic Kentucky Hot Brown are definitely worth a try too. Be sure and save room for dessert, among which include Praline Cheesecake, Coconut Cream Pie, Crème Brulee, brownies and ice cream, and special seasonal treats.

Bell House is open for dinner Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 5 pm - 8 pm, Friday and Saturday from 5 pm - 9 pm, and for brunch Saturday from 10 am - 2:30 pm. (Upon completion of renovations, their lunch dining hours will resume in July 2021.) They offer dine in, carry out, curbside pickup, delivery, and catering, as well as the availability to host private groups for special events.

Located at 721 Main Street, Bell House is within walking distance to other downtown shops and historical buildings.

Cattleman’s Roadhouse

If you’re in the mood for a good steak dinner, check out what Cattleman’s has to offer. Serving up prime cuts of Black Angus Beef, they offer a savory variety of menu items, such as Gentleman John’s Filet, New York Strip, Cowboy Ribeye, and the Black + Bleu Sirloin, which includes a generous topping of Bleu Cheese. They round out their dinner menu with other delicious items, such as Grandma’s Fried Pork Chops, Pineapple Chicken, Pot Roast, and BBQ Chicken Breast, to name a few. Cattleman’s features daily lunch, dinner, and early bird specials, as well as gluten free options and a kids’ menu. Located at 221 Breighton Circle, just off Interstate 64, they’re open for lunch and dinner, dine in, or take out, Sunday – Thursday 11 am – 9:30 pm, and Friday – Saturday 11 am – 10:30 pm.

Milano Italian Restaurant

Whether you’re in the mood for appetizers, pizza, or pasta, Milano Italian Restaurant has you covered. Their extensive menu offers everything from pizza by the slice or whole with nearly every topping imaginable to savory stuffed calzones that barely fit on the plate. They serve lunch, dinner, or in between snacks with breadsticks, cheesesteaks, hot and cold subs, and other sandwiches and sides.
