(OAKLAND, Calif.) The Oakland Police Department is turning to the public for any information leading to the whereabouts of a man who went missing over three weeks ago, KTVU reports.

Police have been searching for 37-year-old Michael Robertson since his disappearance on May 18. He was last seen at approximately 6:27 p.m. in the 1400 block of East 31st Street.

He is described as 5’11” tall, weighing roughly 200 pounds and has brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing blue jeans and a grey sweatshirt.

Robertson’s mother, Patricia Robertson said that her son suffers from bipolar disorder and Asperger's Syndrome, leading police to believe that being away from home for such an extended period of time may have caused Robertson to experience behavioral changes.

His mother also told investigators that he wasn’t taking his medication at the time of his disappearance.

"If he sees us, I want him to remember that we love him and hopes he comes back home," his mother, Patricia Robertson told a reporter from KTVU on Monday.

Robertson is known for frequent visits to waterways and piers and is also known to frequent Lake Merrit and Trestle Glenn.

The Oakland Police Department asks anyone with additional information on Robertson’s whereabouts to call the missing persons unit at (510) 238-3641.
