Homestead is a city within Miami-Dade County in the U.S. state of Florida, between Biscayne National Park to the east and Everglades National Park to the west. Homestead was incorporated in 1913 and is the second oldest city in Miami-Dade County next to Miami.
Homestead has a family-friendly beachfront park, in the heart of South Dade. Homestead Bayfront Park includes a beach, a shallow swimming area in an atoll pool, a restaurant, and a full-service marina.

Eduardo, who is an attorney at Phoenix, is trying to move up his family from Mexico to the United States. Trouble arises when all of Eduardo’s family gets a visa except for his father, who is denied the visa and decides to make the border crossing illegally.
