LAKEWOOD, CLEVELAND — This month, Western Reserve Distillery plans to hold the 'Couples Mixology 101' — A hands-on class presented to help participants create cocktails in their own homes and utilize easy-to-find ingredients from a local grocery store.

In the class, Western Reserve Distillery will also provide the participants their selection of agave, vodka, gin, rum, bourbon, and rye. Participants will be given lessons on preparing two distinct cocktails with progressive difficulty using organic ingredients that are available onsite. After choosing the spirit selection, the participants will be taken on a quick trip to the Western Reserve gift shop to buy the main ingredients.

New skills on the mixology art and its basic form, including taste, exploring flavor pairings, dilution, temperature, mixing, and serving, will be taught in the class. The class also aims to introduce confidence in making cocktails creations to the participants.

The class will be available on Saturdays, June 12, 19, and 26, 2021. It will cost $10 per person to attend. Each session will be limited to 12 people due to the current pandemic. Social distancing and mask-wearing will be obliged and enforced.

Visit westernreservedistillers.com or https://www.westernreservedistillers.com/events-listings/couples-mixology-101 for more information about the class and available slots.
