Charlotte is the most populous city in the U.S. state of North Carolina and is the county seat of Mecklenburg County. It is located in the Piedmont region. 

Charlotte is the 15th-most populous city in the U.S. and the second-largest in the Southeast behind Jacksonville, Florida. 

Charlotte is the cultural, economic, and transportation center of the Charlotte metropolitan area.

Billy Graham Library

The Billy Graham Library is a public museum and library. The library is documenting the life and ministry of Christian evangelist Billy Graham. 

It was opened in 2007. The library has 40,000-square-foot.

The Billy Graham Library is located on the grounds of the international headquarters of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association in Charlotte, North Carolina. 

The Billy Graham Library is designed after a dairy barn, with a mechanical “talking” cow, to reflect Graham’s farm-based childhood.

The main galleries showcase numerous presentations, pictures, music, artifacts, and voices from throughout Graham’s ministry. 

Moreover, a gallery is entirely devoted to Ruth Bell Graham, the wife of the evangelist.

Carowinds

Carowinds is an amusement park, located adjacent to Interstate 77 in Charlotte, North Carolina. It is a 407-acre park.

In 1973, the park opened for the first time. It cost $70 million to make. 

In Carowinds is also a 27-acre water park, Carolina Harbor. Carowinds has a Halloween event called SCarowinds and a winter event called Winterfest.

U.S. National Whitewater Center

The U.S. National Whitewater Center is an outdoor recreation and athletic training facility for ice skating, whitewater rafting, kayaking, canoeing, rock climbing, mountain biking, and hiking. 

It was opened to the public in 2006. 

The Center has 1,300 acres of land adjacent to the Catawba River, with more than 45 miles of developed trail. It cost $38 million to build.

The U.S. National Whitewater Center features the world’s largest and most complex recirculating artificial whitewater river. 

In the U.S. National Whitewater Center, people can practice water sports, including Whitewater Rafting, Whitewater Kayaking, Flatwater Kayaking, and Stand-Up Paddle Boarding.

Land sports can also be practice there: Ice Skating, Mountain Biking, Trail and Rock Climbing. 

Aerial sports can be practice: Canyon Crossing, Mega Zip, Mega Jump, Adventure Course, and Canopy Tour.

Freedom Park

Freedom Park is a park in Charlotte, North Carolina. It is a 98-acre park that is located at 1900 East Boulevard, between Charlotte’s historic Dilworth and Myers Park neighborhoods. 

Freedom Park has a 7-acre lake.

Freedom Park has paved trails, tennis, volleyball courts, sport, athletic fields, and playground equipment. 

In the summer, free films and musical performances take place in the park.

In September, every year takes place the five-day-long Festival in the Park. The Festival is recognized as a Top 20 Event by the Southeast Tourism Society.

Near Freedom Park, is the Charlotte Nature Museum, a fun and learning center for young children operated by Discovery Place, which exhibits animals and plants of the Piedmont region.

Freedom Park is a place where people come to relax, have fun and admire the beauty of nature.

Rosedale

Rosedale is a historic plantation house located in Charlotte, Mecklenburg County, North Carolina. It is also known as Frew’s Folly.

Rosedale was built in 1807. It’s a Federal-style frame dwelling. 

Rosedale consists of a 2 1/2-story. Three bay by two bay, central block flanked by 1 1/2-story wing. 

Rosedale is sheathed in molded weatherboard and rests on a stone basement and each section has a gable roof. The central Rosedale’s block is flanked by exterior brick chimneys.

In 1972, Rosedale was listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
