There is more to a good burger than just its taste. In the U.S., eating outdoors with friends and family has an association with summer. It's the pleasure of getting your hands and face messy while digging into a dish. But, fun as it may sound to eat a burger at the world's most famous restaurant, there's undoubtedly no need to fly across the ocean to enjoy a good patty and kick off a new season.

We have chosen a list of the best burger restaurants in New Jersey below:

Diesel and Duke, New Jersey

It is the perfect place for a classic "diner-style" burger - with patties that are smashed thin and cooked crisply. There are fluffy buns and sizzling patties - just the proper bread-to-meat ratio. Of course, they offer an old-fashioned "Standard" burger here at Diesel and Duke, which is how a good, honest burger should be. But the star of the menu is the "S.P.B.B." Burger — topped with sriracha, peanut butter, and bacon. Unorthodox as it may sound, it is undoubtedly a flavor bomb.

Fridays-Sundays from 12:00noon-9:00 pm

Left Bank Burger, New Jersey

The variety of specialty burgers with different cheeses, relishes, and toppings that evoke the flavors of world cuisine is fun to try in Left Bank Burger. The "Bankrupt Burger" is a favorite among locals - a classic burger with mild cheese, briny pickles, and flavorful raw onions. By using these simple ingredients, the flavors of the highly savory patty become even more complex. As George Motz once said, "The best burgers should taste as exactly they should."

Dark Side of the Moo, New Jersey

You can get exotic meat burgers at The Dark Side of the Moo if you have an adventurous palate. Start with the more "familiar" choices, such as bison and elk, which are lean and mild but still flavorful. Then, continue with the "gamey" yak and camel, which have a buttery taste. Finally, for something even less common and unique, get the kangaroo burger. It's lean and sweet — not a staple but worth trying.

Saturdays-Sundays from 11 am-9 pm.

White Star Bar, New Jersey

For classic "tavern-type" burgers, White Star Bar is another favorite among the locals. A crispy char on the edges leads to a tender inside that is plump and juicy. This patty is excellent by itself and even better when it's topped with a tasty sauce. The sandwich is served with crispy fries and buttery brioche buns from Balthazar. Those who prefer a fancier taste can also try the truffle burger, which is equally flavorful.

Sundays from 11:30 am–9:30 pm.

White Mana, New Jersey

When White Mana opened as a pavilion at the World's Fair in 1939, the Jersey City diner was part of the New York Pavilion. A circular structure containing narrow bar seats surrounding the kitchen in the middle was hailed at the fair as "the diner of the future." Old fashioned as they may look, the cheeseburgers here are delicious [$1.99.}, dill pickle chips, and ketchup, along with fried onions, are equally delicious and comforting. In addition, they aren't made from processed mystery meat like the ones you get at chain restaurants. Since the diner has existed for decades, it has fried 3,000 burgers in a [average] week, and the patties are still hand-patted from fresh ground meat.
