CLEVELAND — The Case Western Reserve University annual Day of Giving has become a tradition for students, faculty, staff, and alumni alike. Since the first Day of Giving in June of 2013, there has been significant involvement through social media and gifts to the university.

The Day of Giving is more than just a fundraising effort, though. University friends and graduates communicate with the university via social media, sharing images of their time on campus and what they're doing while also seeing some of the fantastic things our staff and students are doing on campus.

The ninth Annual Giving Day starts today, on Tuesday, 8 June 2021. This event is created to bring campus residents together during these difficult times. Any help and support can inspire the alumni to participate during their broadcast.

Annual alumni gifts provide an ongoing endorsement of CWRU. When corporations and charities contemplate funding, they first determine whether alumni support their alma institution. A high percentage of alumni donating demonstrates the strength of an institution.

Members of the CRWU community can choose from numerous categories to determine what they want their gift to accomplish. Annual Fund contributions provide critical resources that enhance students' overall experience. These services include financial help for students, scholarships, faculty recruiting, facility maintenance, technology upgrades, library collections, and support for student organizations.

Contributors can share their reasons for participating in #CWRUALLinTogether on social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn and watch their progress as the CRWU community goes all in together in honor of the institution's charitable spirit.
