A woman working as a delivery driver for Amazon was taken into custody in Castro Valley after she repeatedly assaulted a 67-year-old woman who wanted to find out where her package was.

Authorities revealed that Itzel Ramirez, 21, was arrested on Thursday after attacking the Amazon customer.

How did it all happen?

Last Thursday the police department in Castro Valley received a 911 call from the victim. The woman said that the Amazon driver had hurt her at least 10 times.

The owner of the apartment complex was also able to give more details about the shocking incident. Doug Smith told KTVU that it all started when the victim got a text alert saying her package had been delivered. However, when she came down in the lobby, there was nothing for her.

She spotted the Amazon driver and asked where her package was. The answer was that she would get it soon, as reported by Fox News.

The victim waited patiently for 15 minutes in the lobby, but nothing showed up. Then she went back outside again.

“I believe the Amazon driver said something about ‘your white privilege,’ and my tenant turned around and walked away,” the apartment complex owner Doug Smith said for the news outlet.

Ramirez claims she hurt the woman in self-defense.

“We can't have our delivery drivers or people out there in the community attacking people," sheriff's Sgt. Ray Kelly said.

Ramirez was taken into custody on suspicion of battery causing serious bodily injury and elder abuse, which are both felonies. Her bail was set at $100,000 after the Castro Valley incident.
