On Sunday night at about 9:30 pm police responded to a report of a man down in the street at 5121 Ygnacio Ave near 51st Ave. The report also stated there five gunshots were heard in the area.

Police have arrived on the scene at 51st Ave & Ygnacio Ave in Oakland’s Fremont neighborhood.

Police confirmed that four men were down. The four individuals have gunshot wounds.

Police advised that all four men were conscious and breathing. One man was shot in the back. The extent of the other three men's injuries was initially unclear.

Citizen app user video showed a large number of emergency personnel at the scene.

Police at the hospital informed that one man is in critical condition. The rest of the men shot are all in stable condition.

Police and local witnesses indicated that this was a drive-by shooting.

According to Mercury News, it was unknown immediately whether the five men were tied to each other or who among them was meant to be the target of the gunfire, if anyone.

A 36-year-old man was in critical condition Monday morning, police said. Two of the other victims are 21 years old, another is 24 and the fourth is 26, according to police. Those four are all expected to survive.

Other officers cordoned off the area to recover evidence, including surveillance video. Investigators did not immediately share any suspect or vehicle description.

Police said they do not have a motive or any suspects.
