Consider this your checklist for the best of the best
I don't know about you but there is only one red line for me: a taco should be soft.
As long as the corn tortillas are soft, the type of taco doesn't matter to me.
When it comes to tacos, there are a plethora of combinations and twists inspired by ingredients from all over the world. Despite the large range of tacos available today, there are a number of traditional tacos that you should try. From pork tacos like carnitas and al pastor to fish tacos and even vegetarian tacos, these Mexican tacos are full of flavor and tradition.
Tacos are one of Mexico's most common street foods, despite the fact that their exact origin is unknown.
However, nowadays, wherever we turn our heads, there is a taco place. And, for a taco lover like me, it is very important to find a place that makes a great taco.
For all of these reasons, this wasn’t an easy list to make for me. However, here are the three best taco places in Long Beach, based on taco lovers' recommendations.
1. Joliza’s Tacos
We aim to deliver tasty, quality Mexican food to all of Long Beach and beyond. Though we offer delicious burritos, quesadillas, and tortas, our specialties are menudo and tacos. Our favorite meats are asada and al pastor, but we also have pollo, carnitas, and cabeza (for the adventurous). And when munching through our menu gets you thirsty, throw back a homemade, refreshing horchata. or choose from a variety of ice cold beverages in our stocked fridge. Joliza’s began with a dream 30 years ago and during that time, the owner honed his meat marinating technique, refined the sauces, and polished his taco making skills. At his parent’s family restaurant, he sharpened and leveled up until he decided it was time to make it on his own. Thus, Joliza’s was born. - Joliza’s Tacos

3. Tux & Chucks Street Food
We started since 2013 as a catering service offering fusion tacos, bacon wrapped street dogs and quesadillas for partys and events. We are happy to announce that we now have launched a restaurant in the heart of Long Beach's West Side. Why the name Tux and Chucks? Well "Tux" being tuxedos represents sophistocation, in our case, it is the gourmet taste. The "Chucks" are for the Chuck Taylor line of Converse All Star shoes that represent the streets, because we serve a wide variety of street food. Thus the name "Tux and Chucks". We offer a wide variety of fusion and well as traditional tacos, quesadillas, rice bowls, fries, and many more. - Tux & Chucks Street Food
