Have you ever been to an art installation?

First, for those who are wondering, here is exactly what light installation art is:

Light art installation uses art in various forms to create objects and creative illuminations. Some artists capture the natural light, while others make sculptures that produce electric light, exploring increasing developments in LED technology.

Bounce, a light-up art installation is now heading to Detroit! So now is your chance to discover colorful art installation right in Detroit's Beacon Park.

This light-up art installation named, "Bounce," was originally designed by the award-winning, New York-based design studio Hou de Sousa. The project is made up of parachute cord and piano wire which create unique shapes of different colors and sizes. Then, depending on the time of the day, the shadows and lighting of the installation change. These different changes are each unique and provide the viewers a sense of both, thrill and wonder. Along with the light-up art installation, this event will also include remarks from the artists along with a performance from reed quinttet Akropolis.

This is a must do activity as it is a temporary art exhibit. Whether a family outing, date night or activity with your crew, this art installation will wow everyone. This event started on June 4 and will run through September 13, 2021. Hours are the same as the park hours, so as long as Beacon Park is open, so is this art installation event. This is a free event that is open to the public and the location is at Beacon Park at 1903 Grand River Ave., Detroit, MI.

After exploring the art here at Beacon Park, head over to Lumen Detroit where refreshments will be available for purchase.
