Summer in Michigan is a beautiful time to explore the state, and what better time to do that when going to the bountiful festivals this state has to offer. Michigan has festivals on everything, and these are just a few for the next week for you to enjoy. Here are the upcoming Michigan festivals for the second week in June for you to enjoy with your family.

Frankenmuth Bavarian Festival 6/10-6/13

Frankenmuth is a great town to visit if you want to experience German culture in Michigan, and the Bavarian Festival offers it to you in abundance. The festival will be in downtown Frankenmuth with the main festival tent located in Zehnder Park on Mill Street. The festival will host several traditional German entertainers and fun polka bands. There will be a "rock" tent located behind Tiffany's Food & Spirits and rocking good music on Friday and Saturday night. The Chamber Platz will feature a beer garden and bands along with the Bavarian Inn Restaurants Fischer Platz. On Saturday, there will be many events happening throughout the town, including a kids area with bounce houses and games. The Main Street parade kicks off on Sunday at 1 p.m. There is a $5 general admission; kids five and under are free.

Frankenmuth Funtown Chowdown Food Truck Festival 6/10

The Funtown Chowdown, Frankenmuth’s Annual Food Truck Festival, will be at Frankenmuth River Place Shops! The food fun takes place in the parking lot east of the shopping complex on June 10. The Food Truck Festival will feature around 20 trucks from across Michigan with various cuisine and desserts, live music, craft beer and non-alcoholic beverage sales, a designated accessible parking area, and additional activities for families. The Frankenmuth River Place Shops are at 925 South Main Street in Frankenmuth.

Gizzard Fest 6/11-6/12 - Potterville

The Gizzard Fest is not your ordinary festival. Thousands of people will be streaming into Potterville for this unique event and good old-fashioned fun. The small-town atmosphere, live music, carnival, and great food (including plenty of gizzards) always brings people from across the Midwest. The Gizzard Fest will be in downtown Potterville on West Main Street.

Grand Rapids Asian-Pacific Festival '21 6/11-6/12

This is the third year of the Grand Rapids Asian Pacific Festival! This family-friendly event is a celebration of all things Asian-Pacific and will feature Asian-Pacific food, drinks, and performances. Everyone is welcome and is free to attend.

Michigan Timber Days and Tractor Show 6/12 - Flint

Timber! I love the smell of fresh-cut wood, and with the Timber Days and Tractor Show, you can enjoy a different type of festival with actual Lumber Jacks. You can celebrate Michigan’s logging heritage with live entertainment, and you’ll be able to see a unique display of antique machines and tractors dating from 1970 and older. The Crossroads Village & Huckleberry Railroad is an authentic Great Lakes town from the turn of the last century, with over 34 historic structures and a thriving community and where you can find this unique festival. The cost for the festival is just the Village Admission.

Torch Lake Whitefish Fest 6/12-6/13 - Alden

This is the 2nd annual early summer event located In downtown Alden at Depot Park. Centrally located In northern Michigan on Torch Lake, this art and craft show will feature nature themed artists with very limited select boat/fishing vendors. The goal is to have the Fishing tournament and a Whitefish tasting event in conjunction. This event will celebrate the lighting of the torch by ancestral who lived in the Chain of Island Lakes to catch fish. Torch Lake Conservancy will be on hand to educate about waterways.

Ann Arbor Summer Festival 6/12-6/16

Ann Arbor Summer Festival is back and thrilled to announce a mix of new, in-person, and even digital events that kick off in June! You'll discover a series of concerts, pop-up events in public parks and spaces throughout Ann Arbor and the Ypsilanti area. When you show up, look forward to new lineups and excitement. There is so much to do during the Ann Arbor Summer Festival including reserving an intimate concert for yourself and friends, or taking a special dance class! Time to celebrate summer!
