What Should I Not Miss at Magic Kingdom?

Ok, let's dive in. If you only get to do 10 things, these are the things that really make our Disney Vacations feel extra magical. What's on your magical list?

It's a Small World

A visit to Magic Kingdom wouldn't be complete with a stop at It's a Small World. While this may be Disney's most well-known ride, there is hardly ever a wait! And as a special treat for Walt Disney World's 50th Anniversary in 2021, It's a Small world will get new characters in each country.

Dole Whip at Aloha Isle

A Disney Vacation would not be complete without a Dole Whip. This little bowl of pineapple soft serve is a classic at Adventureland's Aloha Isle. Make sure to grab this sweet treat at Magic Kingdom. Because while there are variations of this Disney snack across the parks, nothing compares to the original. And it should come as no surprise that Dole Whip makes our Best Snacks at Magic Kingdom list.

The Purple Wall

If you're looking for the perfect photo op, look no further. Whether you're ready to snap a pic in front of the classic purple wall, or its geometric counterpart, you can find this spot right next to Tomorrowland Terrace. And if you're wondering what the fuss is about, this wall has an Instagram page and a regularly used hashtag, #purplewall.

Pirates of the Caribbean

With an indoor line queue and pirate treasures, this classic Disney ride is worth it with or without a FastPass+. Hop aboard a boat ride filled with scenes from Pirates of the Caribbean, and see if you can find all the places Captain Jack Sparrow is hiding. This was the ride that started the film franchise, and it's quintessentially Disney. Make sure it's part of your Magic Kingdom day.

Be Our Guest

This Beauty and the Beast-inspired restaurant takes place in Beast's castle, offering 3 rooms for your dining pleasure. Belle's Library, The Ballroom, or The West Wing each come with their own look and feel whatever your mood. A full breakfast, quick-service lunch, and Prix Fixe dinner are options here, but all require an Advanced Dining Reservation. Make sure to book ahead of time if you hope to snag a meal at this restaurant.

Peter Pan's Flight

It's rare to see low lines for this fan-favorite ride at Magic Kingdom, so it's best to grab a FastPass+ for Peter Pan's Flight. We love that you can fly over Neverland in a pirate ship, perfect for kids and grown-ups alike. It's also one of the more calming rides in the park, so if you're ready to take a break and relax for a minute, this is the ride that will get you there.

Seven Dwarfs Mine Train

Still Magic Kingdom's most popular ride, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train is this park's newest roller-coaster. You will need a Fastpass+ unless your good with a long wait in line. A little fast, this coaster is still good for kids, as the shiny gems, dwarfs and even Snow White make for a fun experience.

Disney Parade- Magic KingdomPolka Dot Pixie Dust Blog

Festival of Fantasy Parade

The Festival of Fantasy Parade happens daily and features all of our favorite Disney characters. You can plan to see Peter Pan, Rapunzel, Maleficent and more! With a catchy song, you'll be singing throughout your trip, this parade is best viewed from the town square on Main Street. Disney During COVID Update: Parades have not yet returned to Walt Disney World, but you can see Character Cavalcades during the interim.

Happily Ever After Fireworks

This Magic Kingdom fireworks show is all about taking your destiny into your own hands and making dreams happen! Super inspirational you'll be in awe at the projection show on Cinderella's Castle against the evening sky, and fireworks set to familiar songs. And if you're up for it, you can even book the dessert party to get access to the best seats in the house! Absolutely unforgettable, this is definitely a Magic Kingdom Top 10. Disney During COVID Update: Fireworks have not yet returned to Walt Disney World, but they will be coming back soon.

Mickey's Royal Friendship Faire Castle Show

This is our Kid-Friendly addition to this list. Because if you have kiddies, but are trying to maximize your day, a slew of character meet and greets is not your best plan. Disney character meet and greets can take a ton of time from your day. So if you don't have the time to wait in line, you can get a glimpse of Mickey and friends on the stage at Cinderella's Castle. This show happens a few times a day between 10 am-1 pm, so be sure to check the times guide and claim your spot in front of the castle to watch! Disney During COVID Update: Shows have not yet returned to Magic Kingdom, but we anticipate they will soon.
