It's going to be a toasty weekend here in Tucson this weekend, but that doesn't mean you have to hole up inside. There's plenty of fun things to do by yourself or with the family this weekend around town. Read on to find some great things to do and get to know your community that much better! As always, there are plenty of great outdoor markets happening on Saturday mornings. Here are a few more fun things to head out to.

Tucson Gun Show Expo

Exercise your second amendment rights and head down to the Tucson Expo Center this weekend for the Gun Show. Showcasing modern firearms, hunting rifles, art, artifacts, jewelry, and much more, this show will be fun for all interests. The show goes from 9 am to 5 pm and tickets are $15 a person. Masks ARE required to attend this event.

Library Summer Grab-and-Go Breakfast

The Pima County Public Library is offering breakfast grab bags for teens and children 18 and under for free. Just stop by one of the library locations offering the bags anytime between 10 am and 5 pm to pick one up. They are first come first serve, so they may run out. These will be available at the following branches: Murphy-Wilmot, Martha Cooper, Valencia, and the Woods Memorial locations.

Antique and Vintage Fair

Spend Sunday morning from 7 am to noon shopping for beautiful antiques and vintage items at the Medella Vina Ranch. Hosted on the first Sunday of every month, this fair offers over a hundred vendors of unique finds and fun memories. There will be food trucks and a bar with drink specials for the event. Get there early for the best pick of items and to beat the heat. Bring cash to be prepared, but most vendors have card accepting capabilities.

Charity $1 Clothing Sale

Hosted by the Buffalo Exchange, grab some new summer apparel for $1 a piece with proceeds going towards the Tucson Juneteenth Festival. From 8 am to 1 pm on Saturday morning, head to the Dunbar Pavilion, located at 325 West 2nd Street, to pick from a great selection of clothing and accessories. This sale is a walk-up style, so no pre-reservations are needed to attend. Stop by the ATM before you go as this is cash only. Masks are required at this time.

Crawfish Fest 2021

Grab a ticket to get a spot at this year's Tucson Crawfish Fest, held June 5th at 11 am at the Famous Sam's location on River and La Cholla. They are flying in delicious, fresh crawfish from Louisiana. Your ticket gets you 1lb of broiled crawfish, potato, corn, and more for $20 a person. Buy ahead tickets are already sold out, so get there early for walk-up tickets. It sold out last year, so plan ahead. They'll do all the cooking, you just have to be ready to eat!

Summer Safari Night at the Zoo

Spend the evening at the Reid Park Zoo from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm on Saturday nights throughout the summer. This Saturday they're giving you bird facts with meeting with bird ambassadors, walks through the aviary, and more. Live music will be provided by local classic rock band Good Trouble. This is a great way to visit the zoo in the cooler temperatures of the day. If you're not a zoo member, tickets are $10.50 for adults and $6.50 for children 2-14 years old.
