(NEW YORK) A second woman has come forward to accuse City Comptroller and Democratic mayoral candidate Scott Stringer of sexual harassment, The New York Times reported Friday.

The accusations from the second woman, Teresa Logan, come only weeks after Stringer was accused of sexual harassment by Jean Kim, a woman who worked on his 2001 campaign for public advocate, and are likely to further upend his chances in the Democratic primary election only weeks away on June 22.

Logan, a registered Democrat who lives in Manhattan and works in the fashion industry, alleged that Stringer made unwanted advances, including kissing and groping her, when she worked for him as a waitress at Uptown Local, a bar he owned, in the early '90s.

She said she didn't want to press charges, only that she wished to share her story in light of Kim's accusations.

She said, “It was my first job ever in New York, and it affected the way I felt about working with men really throughout my career.”

Rebecca Katz, a spokesperson for Stringer's mayoral campaign, responded to the allegations, saying they “predated decades of service and management by Scott Stringer in the public eye and should be considered in that context.”

For his part, Stringer said he didn't recall meeting Logan but apologized if he made her uncomfortable.

“If, in fact, I met Ms. Logan, and ever did anything to make her uncomfortable, I am sorry,” he said. “Uptown Local was a long-ago chapter in my life from the early 1990s and it was all a bit of a mess.”
